I've been looking around trying to figure this issue out for a few days now and its just not getting any better. I've installed macOS Sierra 10.12.3 on my Asus G75VX laptop. Specs are in profile/signature. And sadly, the GPU will not work... I've tried to resolve this issue, but it seems to only want to use the integrated GPU which is just very poor resolution compared to 1920x1080, I'm sure some can imagine. Just hoping someone can help assist me with resolving this issue as the internet isn't really helping me anymore at this point haha.

Also, for some reason when it boots up to the login screen its almost like flickering horizontally. o_O
Hopefully this could be resolved to with the fix of the main issue I'm here about.

Thanks in advanced!

your laptop may be optimus so only your Intel Graphics will work, more info on that here:

you may need to use a config.plist form the laptop guide for your HD4000 graphics card:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

and you may want to disable your Nvidia graphics to save power:

In regards to the config, ive tried both HD4000 files and altered the 0x01660004 to 0x01660009 for 1920x1080 didnt work. The config ive been dealing with is from the EFI mounted drive, but i did notice that my main drive which has the OS installed on also has the same folder/files, but says i do not own them so they cant be altered.

:/ Now i apparently broke Clover bootloader, the AppStore pushed an update for security and something else and now it wont boot the OS. :banghead::oops: #NoobStatusOver9000

Please fill out your profile as per FAQ (delete the laptop data from the signature):

If you have an issue, you must provide problem reporting files as per FAQ.
No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

I'm abit unsure how to go about getting the needed files, im very new to this.
But if what im seeing is correct, i have a KP issue now after the security update.

Due to this, im gonna reinstall the OS and try again. Still under what i can do to resolve the resolution though. If it cant be done, then thats fine...

You need to update your AppleALC.kext (and probably Lilu.kext).
