I wanted to do a quick note of thanks to this forum and Tonymac for making this all possible. I'm going to do a user build post later.
Today I built up an 8GB i5 2500k system with an GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 mobo. I probably spent 6 hours trying to get it running today... here is what I learned:
Make sure you know which USB ports are 2.0 and 3.0
If your HD is "4k" then you are in for a very long day! But not if you are prepared for it. Set the mobo bios to IDE for the HD and follow instructions on this site: http://www.mymac4music.com/2011/10/boot0-error/
Set Multibeast to 32bit boot screen and otherwise follow Storks settings.
I can't tell you how many times I typed "-x -v BootCache=No GraphicEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1" Haha, it was the only way it would boot right up until the end.
If things don't work...keep searching the forum. You WILL find the solution.
***Now my system is stable and screaming fast (Geekbench 64bit of 10672). Thanks! and a donation is on the way*** :headband:
Edit: Donated!
