Hello,

I would so much like to make HDMI work but I cant. The motherboard is a z77x up5 th with an Asus GTX670 graphics card which I would like to use HDMI on. I downloaded the tools, installed the 898 with DSDT, deleted HDA enabler. Copied the IOreg. Then went on to patching but did not know which one to use in maciasl so I took uefi 1 as it said nvidia and then later as I did not have any HDMI output after restart the ib4 as it said 6 series. Dont understand why its not listed which card needs what.
Chameleon says
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>

Here is my dsdt.aml maybe someone will help me. Thanks you.

No specs in profile. No IOReg, no idea what happened. If graphics works before HDMI audio is installed, then there is no need to change anything after. Everything is listed and each patch is documented. What is missing?

Thanks for trying to help Toleda I have seen you help dozens of people with this, really nice of you. The missing part is I dont really know what I am doing. I followed your Mountain Lion UEFI HDMI Audio tutorial as it was easier to understand than the latest that was more compressed.

If graphics works before HDMI audio is installed, then there is no need to change anything after.
Yes graphics work but dont they for everyone who starts your tutorial? Or do you mean after installing the DSDT audio? No need to change anything after what? Sorry but thats the level I am after reading as much as I could.

Everything is listed and each patch is documented. What is missing?

Desktop-AMD/Nvidia-A1 - AMD/Nvidia HDMI audio dsdt edits
uefi2. Desktop-HD4K/HD3K/AMD/Nvidia-A3 - HD4000 HDMI audio dsdt edits
uefi3. Laptop-A3-FB_01 - Laptop HD4K/HD3K HDMI audio dsdt edits
uefi4. Laptop-A3-FB_03 - Laptop HD4K/HD3K HDMI audio dsdt edits
uefi5. NUC-HD4K-A1 - NUC HDMI audio edits (2xHDMI and TB)
ib4. HD4K-on-6_Series_MEI - HD4K MEI dsdt edit (apply once, only with uefi1 - uefi4) sb5. HD3K-on-7_Series_MEI - HD3K MEI dsdt edit (apply once, only with uefi1 - uefi4)

From this I am unable to determine what patch or patches I need for my Asus GTX 670 card.

I will start over and go back to my CCC clone. I will delete the HDA enabler and install the DSDT ACL898 which will generate me no DSDT.aml in /extra

please tell me what tutorial I need to follow. I will post pictures as much as I can to show what I am doing.
Damn this must be like showing a drunken guy home for you. Thank you for helping.

Your graphics card does not matter; this technique works for almost all graphics cards. The question to answer is what kind of system?
Is it a laptop? No
Is it a NUC? No
Eliminate the obvious.

Since your motherboard is z77x-ud5h atx, that points to Desktop, two choices left:
Do you want integrated graphics (HD4000) HDMI audio and discrete graphics HDMI audio? If yes, use uefi-2
Do you want discrete graphics only (HD4000 disabled in the BIOS)? If yes, use uefi-1.

The last two choices are special cases of mixed bridges (Sandy and Ivy), ignore. This is not hard.

I see now yes, it’s a desktop PC and yes I am only using the GTX760 for graphics. So the HDMI out is used on the board, not the graphics card? HD 4000 is disabled so its uefi-1 for me.

Whats the first step you need a screenshot or file so you can check if something is wrong?

So I now mutibeast the DSDT 898, create the DSDT file and make a copy of IOreg? I am back to zero.

Redone the whole tutorial and these are the files that I generated. Deleted enabler, Multibeasted the DSDT audio, exported the I/O although I dunno what for as it was not used later, no DSDT.aml so I made a new one and patched it and saved it to /extras. There were no errors patching. I used the Desktop-AMD/Nvidia-A1. There is no HDMI available and no problem booting. What am I doing wrong?

Yes it works, I had indeed to connect the HDMI properly. Thanks for helping Toleda and thanks for taking the time to make the totorials and patches.

Last question, its only 2 channel?

Edit: just installed Perian and set up passthrough. Receiver shows Dolby digital.
