Hello, I'm trying to get the audio to work on my Asus Monitor. I've tried just about every way described in these articles, but I can't seem to get it to work.

From what I understand using multibeast with the appleHDA8xx kext and the HDAEnabler should allow this to work but it hasn't as far as I can tell when I try playing videos.

I've tried deleting kexts and copying new ones and using kextbeast with hdaenabler on the desktop, but it's still a no go.

I have 10.6.6 and I'd prefer not to update to 10.6.7 if I can help it as this is a non internet based comp that I use for editing primarily.

My specs are to the left any help is appreciated.

HDMI audio on Snow Leopard requires DSDT edits. No kexts need to be added to your system, however, specific kexts must be edited for HDMI audio. If you decide to proceed, it is not certain that HDMI audio will work on your system or on board audio will continue to work. To get a sense of the work required see http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/10/hdmi-audio-video-solutions.html and http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=140941&view=findpost&p=1448833
