HD 6850

Hi,

Although Sapphire HD 6850 works OOB, but the apps (Geekbench, DVD Player) crash!

I understand it might've been asked and answered before but I have now spent days on this and other forums searching for a working solution, but no luck still.

I'd really appreciate if someone with the same card and/or willingness to help can chime in and post some/all possible solutions. I'm sure it'll help many others like me.

Open terminal and check frame bugger with ioreg | grep "ATY" and determine whether the correct frame buffer is loaded.

com.apple.Boot.plist insert the following string.
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>

Test frame buffer again after adding string and reboot and check DVD player + Geekbench
