I am looking to upgrade my Hackintosh to Haswell.

Is there a Mini-ITX motherboard that supports dual monitors with 2560x1440 resolution?
If so I could ditch my HD5450 VGA card and just run the Intel 4600 integrated graphics.

Would a GIGABYTE GA-Z87N-WIFI be suitable? It has dual HDMI outputs but the question is if these are supported with 2560x1440 under OSX?

I am looking at the Intel i5-4570T as a new CPU.

Im still working out the kinks in my GA-Z87N-WIFI build.

keep in mind they don't have full support for the 4600 graphics. so you will not be able to push 1 monitor that high yet.

Wait till they release Mavericks that should have hardware acceleration for the hd 4600 and we can get your answer.

GA-Z87N-WIFI
Integrated Graphics Processor:
  1. 1 x DVI-I port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200
  2. 2 x HDMI ports, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096x2160
    * Support for HDMI 1.4a version.
  3. Maximum shared memory of 1 GB

I tend to agree that integrated graphics support is not full yet. My board (H87 Zotac) does have active HDMI and displayports for instance which are fine with my 1080p TV, but I cannot get an output at the moment when I attach my Retina display (2880 x 1800). If there were full internal graphics support then this should be possible.
Also bear in mind that VGA support is going to be inferior to HDMI and DP when there is full support....

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but can anybody confirm whether 2560x1440 works in Mavericks using the HDMI output of the Z87N-WIFI?

I know that some Gigabyte boards can only output 2560x1440 through DisplayPort, but the Z87N-WIFI can supposedly output up to 4K via HDMI 1.4 ports.

Anybody have 2560x1440, or even 4K, working in Mavericks?
