struggling with multi beast/probook installer .... do they overwrite each others settings, what happens when you run a second time?

450 g1 booting fine

current issues:

1) screen flicker (esp when opening "other" in launchpad")
2) number lock not working
3) no sound driver
4) no wifi driver (atheros qcwb335)
5) power monitoring / battery status

Depending on what you choose in each, they may overwrite each other.

For #1, do you have Intel HD graphics activated (ig-platform-id injected correctly)?
What are you using Multibeast/ProBook Installer for (eg. what options).

Your WiFi needs to be replaced.
For battery status, you need the DSDT patches for battery from the ProBook repo.

Please refer to this thread, there is much good information there: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-proboo...advice-hp-probook-450-ivy-bridge-haswell.html

started with multi beast:

3rd party data
Elliotforcelegacy RTC
EvOreboot
FakeSCM
NullCPUPowerManagement
PS/2 kb/m/tp
AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset
Chimera v2.2.1
Basic Boot Options
Use KernelCache
Mac Pro 3,1t
onymacx86 Black

then discovered pro book installer and went with the following

#0.preinstall.pkg>",
#Support.4x0s.pkg>",
#CommonFiles.pkg>",
#Part3.HDMI.stock.pkg>",
#Opt.Atheros.pkg>",
#Patcher.pkg>",
#Chameleon.pkg>",
#ColorProfiles.pkg>",
#Sleep_image_fix.pkg>",
#Extra_CameraControl.pkg>",
#0.postinstall.pkg>"

not sure how to proceed

I don't think you have read the post linked in post #23.

Sorry, in isolation i don't know if the above has been activated (haven't seen this before), was it done during multi beast or probbook installer - i couldn't say ????

Neither the ProBook Installer nor Multibeast will help you with that.

It is covered in post #1, right here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-proboo...-450-g1-osx-mavericks-installation-guide.html

Chameleon: GraphicsEnabler=Y IntelAzulFB=12

OK, we're getting somewhere. (Time is a premium at the moment!)

Core i3-4000 RAM 8GB 500GB WD Black HDD (internal) no dedicated graphics card

-fix boot0 (done)
-OSX install (done)
-Security option in OSX (done)

-Probook installer works as long as i don't try to create SSDT,

1) 4x0s G0 support kexts
2) 4x30s/6x60b/8x60p
3) Quiet Fan Patch
4) Low-Resolution Screen
5) SSDT Generator
6) Chameleon r2344
7) Sleep Image Fix
8) Chameleon Wizard
9) Kext Wizard
10) Show all files
11) Camera control

-boot with these flags: GraphicsEnabler=Y IntelAzulFB=12
boots fine with no errors :)

Working:
USB, KB,TP, Display with boot arguments (need to learn Chameleon)
Issues:
Sound
Power Management / Battery Status
Wi-Fi (new card required)
plus any other I come across

I don't think the DSDT patcher in the ProBook Installer will work (you probably have a Warning.txt on your desktop). You must do that part manually. There is a thread discussing this already here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-proboo...-450-g1-osx-mavericks-installation-guide.html

Best to carry on there.

Use Multibeast Mavericks 6.1.0 -
1)System definition=iMac14,2.
2) Set DropSSDT=Y (done)
Haswell power management.

-boot with these flags: GraphicsEnabler=Y IntelAzulFB=12
boots fine with no errors :)

Used Fedora running from USB to get:

1) Codec dump
cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0
2) PCI inventory lspci -nn
3) Extracted DSDT sudo cat /sys/firmware/acpi/tables/DSDT >dsdt.aml

Started to use MaciASL to edit using instructions..... now stuck on how to proceed....

  • The patches are divided into groups. Select one from the first group "ProBook 4x30s" "ProBook 4x40s Ivy Bridge" or "ProBook 4x40s Sandy Bridge" depending on your specific laptop.
