Are the current haswell builds safe? how long they are expected to support further updates?

Are the current haswell builds safe? how long they are expected to support further updates?

Some are still using X58 motherboards with first gen i5s and i7s to run El Capitan with no problem.
Even the older Core 2 Quads and Core 2 Duos still work with El Capitan. Those are from 2009/2010.
That should give you some idea. Figure on a minimum of 5 years. If Apple were to switch from Intel
chips though it could be different. We're not good at predicting the future. I have no crystal ball.
