Hi
In Mojave 10.14.3, 10.14.4 and 10.14.5 I had a 90 to 120 second boot time
If I started verbose I could see these messages:

[IGPU] Hash Data from ME never returned, status = 1, doing retry #1
[IGPU] Begin Gfx firmware load process
[IGPU] ForceWake Multithread = 0x30002
[IGPU] CONFIG0 (0xD00) = 0x80000000
[IGPU] GT_THREAD_STATUS = 0x400b0000
[IGPU] Doing retry #1
[IGPU] Hash Data from ME never returned, status = 1, doing retry #2

I was never truly bothered.

However when I upgraded 10 10.14.6 this boot time went to 180 Seconds+ and thats just too much.
So I searched and found this thread which was the solution. Boot time now more like 30 seconds.

However this has caused a new issue.
Now after I wake the Mac from sleep I get a problem with certain apps:

Chrome, Spotify, all Adobe apps:
When I start these after a sleep the 'splash' screen for all of them is blank. Like completely black (or white), nothing at all. See screenshots.
This is purely graphics. The apps do work from the menus (File, Edit etc, and I can use spotify controls from the dock), but the app windows are persistently 'blank'.
If I then shutdown all the the black apps need to be Force quit.

Safari is NOT affected.

THe other side effect is that Fast User Switching does not work.

If I remove the -disablegfxfirmware switch then the sleep & user switching issues are resolved but I need to get up early to start my computer :)

Ideally i'd like to have my cake and eat it.
