Hardware compatibility with older OS

Hi Everyone, can I build a Hackingtosh with the latest hardware from the buyer guide and install OS Sierra instead of Mojave? I mean I want to put a z390 or z370 motherboard with I9 9900k and 2 1080ti, this hardware will work with older OS?

For Coffee Lake hardware you will need macOS High Sierra 10.13.0 or higher.

If you want to run MacOS Sierra instead of Mojave, you should try to find an Intel 7th generation i3/i5/i7 CPU (or older) and a corresponding motherboard.
