I followed the upgrade guide and had lots of issues.
I then formatted the drive and did a fresh install according to the guide. Before I ran Multibeast everything was working, including iMessage. Once I installed Multibeast settings I had all the same issues that people are reporting:
Limited USB ports
no iMessage or FaceTime
sporadic Bluetooth
etc.
I experimented with a few different Multibeast installs, but still had too many issues to live with.
I used Super Duper to load my backup Mavericks clone to the main boot drive.
All is well again.
I'll wait until some of these issues have been resolved and try again.
It took me a few weeks to get Mavericks all good. Yosemite is nice, but not if I have to sacrifice a fully functioning computer to have it.
I hope to try again once the dust settles.
