Hackintosh Startup Chime

Hi there.

I have installed this, but there is a bit of a delay - as in I get the chime a few seconds after I have already arrived at my desktop.

Is there anyway to remove it, out of interest?

go to system preference>user account>login items
remove the startup chime.

Is there any way to fix the delay in the chime? My system also has it delayed after system boot...
