Monterey is downloaded and installation launched, it creates a macOS Installer partition on which it boots.

After about 10 seconds, the hackintosh stops then restarts. As verbose mode goes very fast, it is impossible to capture where it fails.

I am using OpenCore 0.74 and as mentionné by [1] to enable SIP, csr-active-config is set to <00 00 00 00> :

<key>csr-active-config</key>
<data>AAAAAA==</data>

Fortunately, I can still boot on macOS bigsur.

XhciPortLimit should be disabled, then try booting, if it still fails:

try setting SecureBootModel to Disabled

Thank you, I disabled both XhciPortLimit and SecureBootModel but the hackintosh still restarts.

<key>XhciPortLimit</key>
<false/>

<key>SecureBootModel</key>
<string>Disabled</string>

I also have a path to my Linux partition but I don't think it can create problems.

i don't use linux so unable to comment on that one

also check your bios settings:

Disable:
Fast Boot
Secure Boot
Serial/COM Port
Parallel Port
VT-d (can be enabled if you set DisableIoMapper to YES)
CSM
Thunderbolt(For initial install, as Thunderbolt can cause issues if not setup correctly)
Intel SGX
Intel Platform Trust
CFG Lock (MSR 0xE2 write protection)(This must be off, if you can't find the option then enable AppleXcpmCfgLock under Kernel -> Quirks. Your hack will not boot with CFG-Lock enabled)

Enable:
VT-x
Above 4G decoding
Hyper-Threading
Execute Disable Bit
EHCI/XHCI Hand-off
OS type: Windows 8.1/10 UEFI Mode
DVMT Pre-Allocated(iGPU Memory): 64MB or 128MB
SATA Mode: AHCI

My card is an ASUS PRIME Z390-a and processor is Intel Core i5-9600K

I changed few BIOS Settings but the Hackintosh keeps starting to boot on "masOS Installer" partition, stopping and restarting. Not yet

  • Parallel Port (not found)
  • VT-d (can be enabled if you set DisableIoMapper to YES)
  • CSM

  • Intel Platform Trust (not found)
  • CFG Lock (MSR 0xE2 write protection)(This must be off, if you can't find the option then enable AppleXcpmCfgLock under Kernel -> Quirks. Your hack will not boot with CFG-Lock enabled)

Enable:
  • VT-x called VMX on my ASUS -> Enabled
  • Above 4G decoding
  • Hyper-Threading (not found)
  • Execute Disable Bit (not found)
  • EHCI/XHCI Hand-off XHCI Hand-off -> Enabled

Hey, I'd suggest you to record a video and try to take a screenshot at the exact moment it stuck before restarting. I had the exact same issue after starting the update and still managed to found a fix myself.

Try recording a video, it'll help me a lot.

I do it as soon as I am in front of my hackintosh
