Hackintosh Shutting Down While Gaming

i have recently tried to play a couple different games, assassin's creed and call of duty 4. during both games, i have experienced instant shutdowns after 5-20 minutes of play. i am assuming that this is due to overheating issues. the ambient temperature is around 85 degrees. is there anything that i can do to combat this problem?

what cpu cooler are you using?
and do you have any case fans?

stock cpu fan. one fan on the back of a cheap rosewill case. is that my problem?

Besides the cooling issues, were you able to get Call of Duty 4 running successfully in both multiplayer and single player mode?

I cannot even start the game in single player mode.
