Hackintosh Mouse tracking issue

So I've gotten 10.7.4 stable on my machine, and I've restored my information and files from a time machine backup. All is stable and well except for my mouse tracking. When I go into the system settings and try to turn mouse tracking off, or all the way down, it still feels as though it is on, and every time I log in to the computer, I have to go back into the system settings and turn it off as after every restart the tracking goes back up. Any ideas on what to do?

edit: There is also terrible mouse lag

Reducing the polling rate fro 1000mhz to 500mhz has solved most of the issue. I would still like to hear from other people and their mouse tracking/lag issues and solutions.
