Hey guys,

For system specs I have the following.

GA-Z87N-WIFI
16GB of memory @ 1866Mhz
Intel Core i7-4770k
nVidia Geforce GTX 780ti graphics card
Dell UltraSharp UP3214Q 32 Inch 4K display.

I can plug things into my MBP Retina 15" laptop and they work well. However, I can only get my hackintosh to work @ 30hz.

Wanted to see if anybody had any ideas or clues on what I can do to get this bumped up to 60Hz. I was able to get my AMD R9-290X to come up with 4k @ 30 Hz, but wasn't able to do 60Hz.

Any hints or tips or tricks? Anybody tried this yet? I am trying to get rid of Windows but haven't been able to do so yet.

Thanks,

Thanks for the questions.

I am doing it all VIA Displayport. DP1.2.

So I should be able to do the full 60hz, I can do it on my 2014 MBP, also on the same system in windows. But like I said I want to move away from windows, and really dont want to spend the cash on a Mac Pro.

Thanks,

What version of OS X and graphics drivers are you running?

Hey,

I am running 10.9.4 I believe. The graphics driver from nvidia that is listed on this site.

Thanks,

bump, I have same monitor, cpu, and gpu (non-ti though), would like to get mine 60hz as well.

Same issue here.

Trying the Dell UP3214Q with a GTX 970 but only runs at 30hz. :problem:
