[Guide] Yosemite Clevo p650SE Sager NP8651 with Clover

It still works,but the screen looks terrible so I tend to shut it down at once.When shutting down. I can also hear some exploading sound from the speaker.

Thanks for attaching these. I have the identical laptop to you (except that I have 8GB of RAM- not 32GB).

I have copied your DSDT & SSDT to my EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/PATCHED directory and brightness works (and I don't see any issues).

Am I risking any problems copying your DSDT/SSDT's? Can I just change the part that relates to my RAM? Thanks

PS: hot-plugging is working for me (I can unplug/plugin HDMI on the go)
 
Have you got the internal speakers working yet? I've followed your guide by installing AudioHDA and injecting audio ID as 1.
 
Could you put me through your exact steps with this?

I followed your procedure on page one

  1. Installed AppleHDA.kext (from Laptop ALC892 - Testers Needed)
  2. Went to Clover config and set audio ID to 1

Didn't work- no sound devices were recognised.

Do I need to modify some DSDT files? I installed audio layout 12 (DDST).

Patching with "Audio Layout 12" will override your setting of 1 in Clover.

Apply "Audio Layout 12" but change the layout-id from 12 to 1.
 
Hi.. Just to Note, regarding the Audio part.. --> HDAEnabler3.kext and AppleHDA-272.18.1-ALC892 in http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/ , works very well. Internal speaker, Line In, Headphones works except for Internal Mic.

Working together with realtekALC.kext from https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC .. That's when i noticed the internal speakers worked.

The configuration of my notebook Clevo 651SE is this:

- CPU: Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2.60 GHz (QC, 6 MB ..
- RAM: 8 GB DDR3L 1.600MHz CL11 (2x4.096MB)
- SSD (M.2): 128GB Plextor M6G
- Hard: HGST 1T
- Display: 15.6 "LED FullHD IPS 1920x1080
- Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 3.0 GB GDDR5 (de ..
- Wireless: Intel Dual-Band Wireless AC 3160

it is impossible to install Yosemite as the card Intel Wireless AC 3160 is not compatible.
Have you had to deal with an Intel 3160 AC?

Non-working WiFi will not prevent installation.

Intel WiFi is not supported and must be replaced. Details in FAQ.
