[GUIDE/Workaround] Using Intel HD530 with Dual Monitors

Gentlemans, i saw two my monitors only ones, but after that, again working only one.
Now if i hotplug second monitor, i see glitches, and mouse on second monitor ( at same time my first monitor going black )
For avoid glitches i disconect second monitor for start system.
I think my problem that patches, that i use for port-number is not working ( ioreg show that my ports still DP )
Do you have any idea?

Am i right, that all new iMacs and iMacPro have mobile processor (with iris graphics) or xenon (no graphic), and have not standard processor i5/i7 with HD 630 graphics, and that mean that 10.12.6 will not support kaby lake HD 630 graphic?

In Sierra 10.12.5, I still not work two monitor.
First monitor HDMI can show while second monitor DVI can't.
I find HDMI is port-5 , DVI is port-6
I have added two ports kextsToPatch
port-5:<01050900 00040000 87010000> to <01050900 00080000 87010000>
port-6:<02040a00 00040000 87010000> to <02040a00 00080000 87010000>
but still not work, help!!.

I have same configuration ( HDMI is port-5 , DVI is port-6 )
and trying yore solution ( with fix for 6 port: 02040a00 00080000 (HDMI) 87010000 -> 02040a00 00020000 (DVI) 87010000)
but, with same result - unsuccessfully

I remembered, that i also have SSDT that was generated by ssdtPRGen.sh - maybe this is the reason that patches does not working?
I can check it later :(

My HD630 work fine with dual displays configuration in 10.12.5.

set connector type to 02000000 or 01000000, not 00020000 for multi displays setup, DVI + HDMI may hard to setup due to poor EDID detection, may need more procedures.

My config same as yours, HDMI linked to 0105 port 5, DVI linked to 0204 port 6, see attached png and ioreg.

4K works perfectly fine using DP running @4K60Hz. Note if you want to use the 4K display as primary you will need to lower the resolution to match your second display until you reach the desktop, then you can raise it to 4K. I tested this and it is the only way to get dual monitors to work with a 4K monitor.

Hi wildwillow,
With your 4k monitor are you able to get 2560x1440 Hidpi resolution? I have a 27" 4k LG monitor running through DP on HD 530 graphics but there is no option for me to choose 1440p resolution.
Thank you

I'm trying to figure out to get working dual displays but I'm failing... I've installed Sierra 10.12.5 on my Gigabyte Z270 Gaming K3 with Intel HD 630. I've 2 Samsung LS24F350FHU monitors connected through HDMI, one of them with DVI-D to HDMI adapter.

smbios 17,1: on bios 2 monitors are working, when apple logo is loading the HDMI monitor is going to sleep and showing no source. in the system only monitor with DVI adapter is working and the second has no signal.

set connector type to 02000000 or 01000000, not 00020000 for multi displays setup, DVI + HDMI may hard to setup due to poor EDID detection, may need more procedures.

How can I do that shuhung? Thanks in advance.

Connect only one monitor at system boot up, otherwise one of monitors will turn black.

If first time setup multi monitors, it should show mirror mode.

Try to lower primary display resolution to 1600x900 before hotplug secondary monitors, if success, both monitors should be in best resolution, like 1920x1080 for me.

I tried to do what you specified, but no luck, I booted through HDMI port, set display resolution and hot plug through dvi-d adapter, nothing. And the same booting from DVI-d and hot plug HDMI.
In system information - Graphics/monitor just only recognized 1 screen when both are connected (one is black). I didn't change nothing in clover configuration. I tried to set iMac 14,1 or 14,2 and I could't reach login page, after apple logo and loading bar it shows a black screen with the mouse, but it stuck there. I had to back again to 17,1.

Any idea? Thanks for your help.

System definition iMac 17,1 does not support multi displays, need AGDPFix, use iMac 14.x for multi monitors setup, upload ioreg and config.plist may help.
