[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Just wondering.... you installing on a 4K display?

Two 4K displays, I managed to get full Intel 655 acceleration etc (1536MB) but the second monitor wouldn't show at all.

To be honest, I had to stick Windows back on it as this is my main system.

I will be reinstalling hackintosh once I find a solution to dual 4k displays

To be honest, my setup isn't ideal for a hackintosh IMO

4k display would require some changes to the config.plist (when installing, adding -cdfon), or using invalid ig-platform-id.
The existing plist is for normal displays.

Dual display may work, but of course you'll need to connect the second one after booting, not before booting.

I know this guide is aimed for NUC8i7 but do you think that NUC8i3 could work as well?

Likely no difference. Try it and repot back.

Hi, is this guide actual?

I followed it carefully on my NUC7i7BNH:

- BIOS configured as described,
- (just downloaded Mojave) USB installation media created with MBR and Clover UEFI (RehabMan fork),
- All the latest version of required EFIs and KEXTs in the respective places,

After a quite smooth installation, at the end of phase 2, when I reboot, boot USB and choosing Boot macOS from $my_target_disk on clover (with verbose enabled), after initial loading I see a grey desktop with the only mouse pointer for few seconds and then reboot.

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

You're right, I'm sorry. Problem reporting data attached.

Your EFI/Clover looks ok.
Make sure BIOS settings are correct (DVMT-prealloc 64mb or 128mb).

First of all thanks for the support (and for the great project)

On your NUC7i7BNH do you have latest bios installed?
Do you have the latest Mojave updates?
May some recently update on the kexts/efis broke something?

Before writing here I tried to repeat everything 3 times, if this exact nuc works for you, it can't do a different thing for me.
This is driving me crazy.

Try booting with an invalid ig-platform-id (0x12345678).

You likely have a different monitor than me, connected via a different port, and you certainly have different RAM configuration (mine: 1x 8GB RAM module, you: 2x 16GB).

Also, I did fresh install long ago... So I'm using "final" EFI/Clover setup, not "pre-install" EFI/Clover setup.

BIOS rev on my NUC7 is 0063.
