I have kernel panics when trying to update from Catalina to latest Big Sur using Sitam70 EFI...
Do you have any instructions ?

I did a clean Big Sur installation using OpenCore, not upgrade. (for my G1)

I'm sharing my EFI folder, just please update Serial number MLB, etc.

You can try this EFI which no problem for me in any upgrading to the latest Big Sur update. This is for G2 model

I found the EFI folder that I used on my USB bootable installer for Big Sur, in case you need it

I just tried to boot Big Sur install USB drive with Sitam70 EFI and still have KP with "failed to detect super IO chip" error.

Thanks, good job! This worked for my gear (G1). However, my dw1560(Brcm4352) wifi card is still broken in spite of some fixes I implemented. Yes, I updated Platforminfo/SSN, Platforminfo/MLB, etc.

I have the similar WiFi card it must work without any additional kexts

• Can you check if /Library/Extensions is "virtually empty" and use only kexts on the OC EFI folder
  • I just have 3 files on /Library/Extensions
    • HighPointOP.kext
    • HighPointRR.kext
    • SoftRAID.kext

I've always used kexts since 10.11 and this worked through Catalina (10.15), broken in Big sur. So, I used AirportBrcmFixup, BrcmBluetoothInjector, BrcmFirmwareRepo and BrcmPatchRAM3 in /L/E. I tried removing all kexts in /L/E leaving just the 3 above (sort of trying OOB) and this didn't work for me. But thanks for the hint...
