[Guide] Asus P8Z68-VPro with SpeedStep, Turbo & Sleep

Hi Guys,
i followed the steps in this guide but i still cant get speedstep to work...
Here is what i have done:
1) Installed 10.6.8 Combo Update. All along the iboot+Multibeast guide.
2)Patched with Speedstepper.
3)Removed NullCPU.

Speedstep doesnt work. But with

sudo dmesg

i found the following error in my kernel.log:

ACPI_SMC_CtrlLoop::loadStepperProgram - pmCPUControl (PMIOCSETPSTATESTEPPER) failed, result = 0x4

Unfortunately i cant find any solutions for this on the web...

Any suggestions how to solve that? If you guys need additional Infos about my system, please dont hesitate to ask. I will post them immidiatelly

Hi Guys,
wow i downloaded a new imac12_2.plist and now the Error is gone! With MSRDumper i get:

kernel[0]: MSRDumper CoreMulti(44) 
kernel[0]: MSRDumper PStatesReached: 16 35 39 43 44 45 46

Seems that Speedstep works now, right?!
But i think there are missing states. Because most of you guys have 9 states...
Is it possible for me to get also 9 States or do i missunderstand somthing?

Same here i am missing some p-states with my stock i5 2400

I'm gonna try Revoboot soon

did somebody get this error:
Still waiting for root device

I get this message all the time i tried installing with 4gb only, turbo and speedstep, lan, disabled. AHCI, i didn`t find nowhere setting options with Hpet64

any ideas what should i change in bios or what could this error mean?
Please help i really need this to make it work.

hi mate,

check the file i attached for bluetooth, worked for me
