GTX 980ti vs Over clocked Asus Gold GTX 980 -> Someone push me over the edge

I found a deal on Amazon yesterday and I snagged it! So yeah I'll be getting the Ti Kingpin Saturday. We'll see how it works out! I did see that you had the 980 so it's all good, I just wanted something to last a bit longer in the long term. The main selling feature honestly was the single-slot bracket with water-cooling (preparing for in the future). I'm excited, and I'll see what comes out of this $750 purchase!

I'm currently trying to decide which aftermarket model of the 980 Ti to purchase and was reading this post which raised an interesting question about the compatibility of the 980 over the 980ti. How did your Kingpin build turn out? Are you getting as good a numbers as people have reported for their 980s?
