Have MSI GTX 970 4GD5T OC 256 bits SLI READY 4GB GDDR5 HDMI, DL-DVI, DP
running 10.10.3 with all latest updates installed
latest to date web driver from Nvidia. It only does work over HDMI and only with nv_disable
When I try to nvda_drv=1 I always end up with a black screen and a cursor at the top left corner.
System Definition is MacPro 5,1 . AGPM is working (when booting in safe mode) after patching AppleGrahicsPowerManagement.kext
Tried reinstalling WebDriver. Nothing really helps.
Mobo: Dell Z800 (BIOS)

Got it to work once by setting System Definition to MacPro 3,1. Booted with HiRes and everything was actually working. Installed Little Snitch, forced to reboot and no luck again. Grey screen, then black screen with cursor. I just don't understand what make it work one time and fail next time....o_O

Just installed 2 GTX 980s (PNY VCGGTX9804XPB-CG).

Working:

1) Four Monitors on 1 card

2) HDMI audio by injecting Device HDAU via SSDTs. I also added code so the cards would be seen in their respective PCI Slots.

3) CUDA with driver 7.0.36.

4) OpenCL

5) Adobe Premiere CUDA Acceleration for timeline (Extremely responsive) and output encoding and effects rendering (Both cards used).

Not Working:

1) After Efeects CC 12.1.0.168 Ray Tracing (Gives an error at application load and 3D extrusion and lighting is not rendered). This may be fixed by adobe in an update. We'll see.

2) Davinci Resolve 11 only recognizes 1 card but performance is still better than my GTX580classified+GTX570HD combo. I tried differentiating the cards through ACPI injection to get resolve to detect the 2nd card but the Web Driver seems to be injecting all the device properties to the ACPI tables and trying to modify anything that is injected by the driver results in a kernel panic at boot. Therefore I just stuck to injecting HDAU to enable HDMI audio. I'm hoping Resolve 12 will see and use both cards.
