When I use the 18.3 system definition my 970 with a 6700cpu the display turns on and I can use my system the way I have been in 10.12.3
However when I use the recommended system definition 17.1(which I currently use in Sierra as my daily driver) the screen stays black. I can't even access the desktop via screen sharing.
Is there any downside of just using 18.3 with my skylake cpu?
