Hi,

I would like to buy the gtx 1070 but I know that the nvidia web drivers aren't released yet.

So I'm asking you if there is a way to use the iGPU (HD 4600) in OSX and the 1070 in Windows. The HD 4600 actually works very well in OSX but if I try to boot OSX with my card GTX 970 and the HD 4600 sets as primary card, than Clover and OSX give me a black screen.

Is there any solution for this?

Cheers.

Use the ig-platform-id 0D220003. You have to have your monitor connected to the board.

Thank you for the answer.

I tried it and the result is the same.

Here is how OSX appears if I have the eGPU (GTX 970) inserted; clover shows just a black screen as I said. Without the HD 4600 works OSX without problems with just the same configuration!

Is the IGP set as the primary device in your bios?

Yes, sure!

Other solutions?

Not sure. On my system if I use that ig-platform-id, set the primary device to the IGP and plug the monitor into my board everything works fine and both devices are enabled and detected properly in OS X. If I set the PEG to primary and plug the monitor into the card then you must use the ig-platform-id 04120004. That will enable AirPlay mirroring even though the system will not show the HD4600 in system profiler.

Hi.

I solved the problem:

– Bios: eGPU as primary.
– OSX: no boot flag at all: neither nv_disable.. nor nvdr... The HD 4600 works as secondary display which I have as primary in the options. I've full acceleration with the Intel HD 4600. In Clover: JUST intel inject AND ig-platform-id: 0x0D220003. Otherwise HD 4600 doesn't work as second monitor!

So, unfortunately I haven't solved the problem yet.

Any solutions?
