Hi Guys. hope everyone is well, this fine saturday Morning
Ok heres the thing, Been looking at a couple of Graphics cards
First my setup-to-be
Old G5 case, Already Have
Gigabye Z68XP-UDP3 Already Have
Sony Optirac DVD Already Have
16,Gb Corsair Vengence LP Memory Already Have
Intel Sandybridge 2700K Processer Looking
H/D, SSD OCZ ? Looking
H/D. Hitichi 1Tb Already Have

Now should I be looking at the Gigabyte

Been told that the Gigabyte is a little shorter than the the Radeon not sure if that's to much of a concern for a custom build unless it's gouign to interfer with something on the M/B Wont know that until i put it together!
I know that the second one runs a bit more silent but not sure if its worth the penalty of having a bigger G/card,
Although I am trying to make this system as Silent as possible! options please

Well, if your not planning on buying today, I'm going to be building my system with a Sapphire 6870 this weekend. I have the exact same processor, RAM and mobo. Also, don't forget a PSU!

Just trying to get it all together!

only problem for me at the minute is trying to get a M/B tray and Back panel

so I can cut the back of the G5 case!

Yep PSU looking at e OCZ 750 watt modular unit which I will need to customize to make it fit the bottom of the G5 case

Hi there!

I promised that I would update you, and here it is - I have had a few software issues, as I really don't know what I am doing, but the graphics card seems to be working absolutely fine. It's recognised fully by OS 10.7.2 and windows, and I haven't even installed multibeast yet. Not sure if this is even the card I got, as it was a 'Dirt 3' edition, and had a sticker on the box calling it an overclock edition, but it definitely has the dual DVI, dual miniDP and HDMI ports.
