Yes, i know that the fermi cards run very hot.
And i also know that sometimes the gpu runs hotter in osx86 than on windows.
After a couple of minutes with the system on (idle) the gpu starts rising up
Also, when i watch a flash video the gpu starts getting hotter and it never decreases.
So, i booted up in windows and quickly open gpu-z to see the temps
80°c.!!!!
I think that´s to much for being in idle. don´t you think?
Also the gpu fan is locked at 30% or 40%

I´ve tried:
- smbios macpro 3,1 4,1 and 5,1.
- add my card id to applegraphicspowermanagment

What can i do?
Is there any way to increase the gpu fan?
Is there other things to edit in applegraphicspowermanagment?

Thank you!

Maybe you have a bad card...

If it's running hot under Windows and OSX then there may be more to the problem.

No Shelby, you got me all wrong.

The card runs fine in windows (about 45° 50° in idle)

I don´t know a way to see gpu temp in osx86. So, this is what i do.
After a couple of minutes of using mac...I quickly boot in windows and open gpu-z to see the temps.

That´s why the card is at 80°.
Because a minute ago i was using mac.

Sorry for my english.

Thank you.
