Booting with nv_disable=1 is not a solution. While it allows you to boot it also puts the card in VESA mode so there is no acceleration. I stand by my original statement that the card is not supported at all in Sierra. I spent the better part of a weekend trying to get my GT 610 working in Sierra unsuccessfully.

I agree with you but I can't stick with 1024x768x32 resolution on 1366x768x32 monitor it is so odd so the only way for me to enable full resolution of my monitor is this.
