got dual gpu and 6 gb ram. should i proceed?

i'd appreciate if you could answer as soon as possible. i have an Asus laptop which has dual gpu (intel hd300+nvidia gt550m) and 6 gb ram. in the tutorial it says only one gpu and 4 gb of ram, should i proceed under these cicumtances? also i'll go for the dual boot but i want to keep my recovery partition (just incase something goes wrong), will it be possible when i partition in Mac OS? thanks in advance.

no offense, but if you need to keep your recovery partition then you shouldn't be attempting to install OS X on your PC.

First thing i do when i buy a new PC laptop is format it to remove the crap and remove any helper partitions to free up some space.
