A 8GB RX 580 will perform similarly to a GTX 1060 6GB and be compatible with MacOS High Sierra / Mojave / Catalina.

The new RX 5x00 series cards are supported on MacOS Catalina only.

RX 5500 XT / RX 5600 XT / RX 5700 / RX 5700 XT. These cards are new AMD cards that are available from many vendors and are supported on MacOS Catalina only.
