Comments/Problems:

Installed using the user DSDT with 10.6.5 update. However, no audio is working yet. Tried installing VoodooHda, but no luck. The only thing showing are the HDMI outputs. I read somewhere else that the GT240 HDMI outputs work natively. But, what do I need to make regular front & back panel audio connections work? Help!

Anybody have ideas? I think the problem may be that the gt240 card is recognized as a native audio device, and so conflicts with Voodoo? Is this correct, and if so, how can I fix it?
:banghead:

Ok, I guess I'll continue the conversation with myself.
I did more research, looks like I need to manually edit the kext of voodoohda, and put the device id in there. Is that the best way, because I am inexperienced and it sounds tricky.

I think your board uses ALC892 audio. If so, try this fix, it has worked for my build on P55-USB3 rev2.

I have the same motherboard (ALC892 chipset), you need the modified AppleAzaliaAudio.kext, i found it on the web, i don't even remember where but it works.

Instructions :
- Download the attached kext
- Install it in /System/Library/Extensions
- Remove any AppleHDA.kext, Voodoo stuffs or LegacyHDA.kext
- Use System Maintenance with Multibeast
- Reboot
- Enjoy it.

Go to this thread viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4632&hilit=dsdt+h55n&start=50, I have the same broad and GT220 video card. The sound works perfectly and clearly with modified VoodooHDA2.62.kext.

The other way here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7536, will give you 2 out and 1 in with clear sound too. I've used this method because the sound is very clear if it reached the maximum. I do not have 5.1 system, so it's enough.
