Right now using a patch made by Mirone with unknown changes to AppleHDA. But has been this way with many patches I've tried, including AppleALC+Lilu and another solution with a patch found on this board, using vanilla AppleHDA and 6 Clover patches (one disabled). Same results..
This is the codec info dump..
The problem: Audio is always a little distorted, regardless of volume and external or internal (headphones). There's this glitchy or poppy noise. Of course, higher volume makes it louder, but it doesn't go away when lowering. Bass is terrible.
Every 10 seconds or so, audio will disappear when watching a stream or listening to music, only to come back after a few seconds. If watching a video, it makes it go out of sync. Pausing and playing puts it into sync again, until next time it happens.
I have compared with Win10 on same laptop, where it sounds good.
Any suggestions? Running 11.6.
