Just booted up the Z87MX-D3H and to my surprise, a massive new skin on the UEFI called "Windows Mode". The older Z77 style "Classic Mode" is also available. There are wallpapers, sliders, and other settings- you can even choose your own wallpaper. Here are a few screenshots:
Here's the familiar "Classic Mode", which you can switch to as well.
what resolution u get with classic mode and what resolution u get with Window mode ?

Last week I purchased the sister board, the Z87M-D3H and it has this new UEFI setup screens also. It took a few minutes to find things but seems very usable. This is my Haswell learning curve machine with a i7-4770K. With the forum rules there is not much more one can say.

Good hacking,
neil

My question is: Do Haswell processors work with OSX?

Looks like the BIOS is Colour coordinated to match the motherboard.

I haven't seen a z87 gigabyte board with tb support yet, but i also haven't really looked at their offerings since i picked up the z87x-ud3h for my latest build. will likely be swapping out for one once gigabyte has one available

Hi, must ask and say hi all. I am new totally to this scene, due to the horrific Windows 10. I'm looking to change my systems.

I have Z87X-UD3H updated BIOS to 10b. 1st, never built a hackintosh in my life. 2nd, the SSD and physical hard drives are in 0-1 ports and the DVD drive in port 3 SATA. When set to defaults and the SATA chips set to ACHI, this board locks Vt-d, etc., so I am unable to change.

Now, I have a copy of Snow Leopard and MuliBeast, UniBeast, etc., but I can't find how you install this lot? Using 24GB of RM 1600mhz set to stock 1333mhz and a old GTX 270. I also have 2 memory keys - a 16GB and a 32GB. I am unable to find how you get this all on a hackintosh and in what order....and how they are put on a key.

I am used the Windows installs from 98-2000 up to Windows 10 tbh. If this works well on my budget rigg, then I will change my others over.

I'm interested to learn how more user friendly Apple Mac software over the nightmares of Windows 10 which i just placed on a dual Xeon server ASUS Z10pe16 board which i use for SLI games and rendering, etc.; before I was using Windows 7x64 biggest mistake ever as its a 2 week install job!!!!

Anyhow, I possibly need the noobie guide. :lol If goes well and in time learn a lot on using my cheap test rigg, then, my server I'm building & testing, atm will get the same treatment. Any tips, hints, help and guides will be great as banging one's head on the floor for a week or so now. I built many a Windows PC phase cooling, etc., the lot. But, this is whole new ball game - an a massive step for server build costing a mortgage.

Thanks every one who can dig me out this one hole and prep me for the next one. :)
