Gigabyte Z87X UD5 TH Thunderbolt not working

thunderbolt working after boot into the windows (need to allow connect all device), BIOS settings - Legacy mode
My TB device is Promise Pegasus R6 - working.

Can I use Windows 8 to install the driver and Firmware instead than Windows 7?

i have managed to get the thunderbolt screen working with the windows workaround ! Yayyy..

" installed windows 7 on separate drive then rebooting into mac all works " deleted windows drive still all works great

i am using the thunderbolt port with an apple 27" ThunderBolt Display works great !!

one thing i cant seem to get the firewire 800 and usb and thunderbolt ports to work on the screen
is there something in the Bios settings i need to configure to get those ports working ?

This is good news. Is it still working under yosemite???? Did you get the usb and firewire ports working on the back?

Also, and this is huge, how is the graphics acceleration from the built in graphics? Enough to run full resolution video?
