Gigabyte-Z87N-WIFI Bluetooth keyboard issue

Does anyone know how to get the apple keyboard to work with this board. The Bluetooth seems to be working but the keyboard will not link up when I have to press the button to the right of the left shift key.

The best solution for your problem is to change the wifi card and get a blue tooth dongle.

did you connect the wifi/bluetooth antenna?
it seems that this boards need it to be connected to detect any bluetooth device

Thanks no i didn't try to connect the antenna. I will try that later on today. I think i might go with a wired connection for now until i move my computer desk.

I have rev. 2.0 of this board which comes with a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth do you know if there is any way to get it to work.

then you should connect it.
OS X won't detect any bluetooth device until you connect it. I had the same problem, and now bluetooth is working fine.

The wifi card that comes with the board won't work with OSX. You need to replace the wifi card and get a bluetooth dongle to avoid the headaches. Try getting a BCM4322 & IOGEAR GBU521 and you won't have anymore issues.

THe wifi card worked perfectly i just need to order the Bluetooth and i will be complete. Thanks a lot.

l0l0b0nd im getting ready to buy the IOGEAR GBU521 and im reading about people having problems with it. Have you had any so far? Im going to be using the apple keyboard and the apple trackpad with the bluetooth device.

I've been using it since 10.9.1 and now 10.9.2 issue free. Remember to change the settings in your bios so you don't come across any issues (Remember to change the XHCI to enable (smart auto is the default setting). If you look at the reviews in amazon the bad ones are most windows users and some hackitosh "builders" that expect that everything is gone to work with out tweaks. All I can say that on my build (GA-Z87N) the GBU521 works great.
