Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

Thank you for the quick response, but I'm(ay) still a little lost (or not.) I admit that I t's hard for me to measure "the little need", on the other hand can you specify if you speak of a gain when windows is emulated with bootcamp in OS(11,12..), or when it is booted from the opencore or clover menu? thanks for all your work again

You may be over-thinking this. If you're using a Fenvi FV-T919 with Monterey, simply disable all of those kexts. And don't worry about it unless sometime in the future you encounter a problem with WiFi/BT.

@CaseySJ

Is there any way to have a 15 port map with the following ports active? I

Sure; simply disable the current USB SSD (SSDT-UIAC-Z690-AERO-G-...) then:
  1. Copy the attached file to your EFI/OC/ACPI folder
  2. Add an entry in OpenCore Configurator --> ACPI section for SSDT-UIAC-Z690-AERO-G-FVKLIES.aml
  3. Uncheck OpenCore Configurator --> Kernel --> XhciPortLimit quirk
  4. Reboot

@CaseySJ My z690 aero g boot time significantly increased. I am using SN850, it was very fast in the past. Do you have any clue about fixing this? Thanks!

I have the same drive and noticed the same behavior. It pauses when booting, whereas in the past it was continuous.

I’ve been meaning to install Windows and dual boot. This way you can run WD’s diagnostics. Maybe a new firmware exists.

Please report the output of this:
Code:
log show --last boot | grep “trims took”

Yes. I have the exact same description as you.

I have dual boot already. I will try your suggestion.

I have 8 drives installed, hack installed on SN850, Win installed on 970 EVO PLUS 500GB. Only two shows in results:

2022-05-25 09:16:49.414507-0500 0x48f Default 0x0 0 0 kernel: (apfs) spaceman_scan_free_blocks:3154: disk3 scan took 0.000000 s, trims took 0.000000 s
2022-05-25 09:19:03.230348-0500 0xef2 Default 0x0 0 0 kernel: (apfs) spaceman_scan_free_blocks:3154: disk4 scan took 0.000000 s, trims took 0.000000 s

Also, I confirmed that Disk3 is SN850, Disk4 is a 1tb 970 EVO Plus for data. In the past week, I processed data and used 890GB in 970 Evo Plus in the past week.
