In Big Sur I don't have any problem with the i225-V. But it does not work in Monterey.Hey, quick question for vision g Monterey testers...
Is there support for i225-v network adapter?
I'm currently using boot arg dk.e1000=0 to enable the driver on Big Sur.
Thanks,
Juan
Some follow-ups:
- What is the make and model of every NVMe SSD in your system?
- If the system had been running smoothly for some weeks, then it might be good to try this experiment:
- Buy or find a spare 128GB or larger SATA SSD (these are very cheap).
- Install the SATA SSD either internally or in external USB 3 enclosure.
- Install Catalina from scratch on the SATA SSD -- using the same EFI folder you're using now.
- When Catalina is fully installed:
- Do not use Migration Assistant
- Do not install any third-party software
- Just check the system for stability:
- Log in to iCloud
- Use the Photos app
- Use the Music app
- Use the Safari browser
- Leave the system running for long periods of time (i.e. 12 hours or overnight), but do not disable sleep
- Is the system stable?
Hello Michele,@CaseySJ First thanks for all you work and help.
I found a used z490 vision D (super happy) and I got a i9-10850K.
Everything seem to work pretty well except that I have a PCIe SATA card for some extra drives.
Hackintool says:
DEBUG VID DID SVID SDID ASPM Vendor Name Device Name Class Name SubClass Name IOReg Name IOReg IOName Device Path
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
04:00.0 1B4B 9235 1B4B 9235 Disabl Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88SE9235 PCIe 2.0 x2 4-port SATA 6 Gb/s Controller Mass storage control SATA controller P21@1B,4/PXSX@0 pci1b4b,9235 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1B,0x4)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
IS there a way for me to have the drive attached to that card show up at startup? I can only see the drive attached to the motherboard.
Do I have to add it somehow to the config.plist?
The drive show up I the Finder BTW and work well. Just not at boot.
They used to work at boot with my previous Mackintosh with Asus Z390F.
Or if it's the card do you know of one which will work?
Thanks,
Michele
Let's do this:
- The only NVMe SSd is a 1TB Sabrent Rocket (Revision: RKT343.4) in slot 1
- Attempted to install Catalina from scratch on a Samsung 850 EVO M.2 in slot 2 using same EFI
- Installation repeatedly froze at 7 minutes
- Pulled drive from system
- Returned to Big Sur on Sabrent, freezes still occur both before and after sleep
- Attempted to install Catalina on a Samsung 840 internal SATA drive using same EFI
- Installation repeatedly froze at 4 minutes
- Disconnected all USB peripherals except keyboard
- Installation completed
- Setup froze at "setting up iCloud" after entering credentials
- Restart - Freeze after entering sign on credentials
- Restart - Successfully signed in, initiated security update.
- Update failed to complete (image of log attached)
CaseySJ, It's an IOCrest 4 Port SATA III PCI-e 2.0 x2 Card - SI-PEX40062Hello Michele,
Do you have a link to the make/model of your PCIe SATA card?
Here are some cards that are known to work with Mac. The links are located here.

Mine is actually identical to the one you posted here:Hello Michele,

That was a hard lesson to learn! I'll pin this to Post 1.@CaseySJ
Thank you so much. Fixed sleep issue. It was come from GC Titan Ridge.
We need to use both 5 pin and 3 pin into Motherboard. (instead of pin3 and pin 5 connection).
Then, it works beautifully.
For the record,
My setup:
CPU: i9 10850k
Z490 Vision G
Sapphire RX 580 Pulse
Fenvi T919
GC Titan Bridge
OS: Big Sur 11.6
Works now:
Sleep/Wake
Thunderbolt3 full support
Bluetooth/WIFI
Thank you so much!! really appreciate that.
