Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

I think so too, but I went to check its integrity through windows and it's good.

I know you updated the firmware on your 970 EVO Plus so I don't know what can be the problem.

Is anyone crashing on MacOS 11.4 with OpenCore 0.7.0 and 0.7.1?
panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff8002ace860): nvme: "Fatal error occurred. CSTS=0xffffffff US[1]=0x0 US[0]=0x307 VID=0x144d DID=0xa808
. FW Revision=2B2QEXE7\n"@/System/Volumes/Data/SWE/macOS/BuildRoots/e90674e518/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/IONVMeFamily/IONVMeFamily-557.120.1/Common/IONVMeController.cpp:5499

The system is crashing even with NVMefix active or not.
The System is installed on the Samsun 970 Evo Plus 500GB (firmware updated).
Hello @LiveSorcerer and @pastrychef,

Don't know if it can help you...

I got the same Samsung 970 Evo and use it with PastryChef EFI without pb, but since 11.3 update, I got the same kernel panic was you, randomly, after 30s to a minute...

I've been trying lot's of things to solve this included NVMEfix.kext, firmware update... but still no luck.
After lots of trying I finally find the problem, I am now sure it's related to Thunderbolt (I got a Titan Ridge 2 Add-In Card).
If I remove the Add-In card everything works like a charm, I can update to 11.4 without a pb.

as soon as I boot with thunderbolt card in, it freeze with NVMe panic.

I think weed need to hard flash the bios from the thunderbolt card to make it work again, but I'm not sure on how to do it and don't have the tool for the moment. (look at this post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...bolt-3-i7-9700k-amd-rx-580.267551/post-208752)

Sorry for my English. Hope it will help you.

So, the freeze occurred with me when I tried to install MacOS 11.3 onwards, but in the case it was USB problem, then I changed the firmware of Titan Ridge V1 and it didn't happen anymore.
When I go to check the integrity on Windows 10 it is healthy, but on MacOS it freezes.
I'm about to consider changing brands, which ones do you indicate?

Please what can I do to fix this and thanks

Looks like something is wrong with APFS. What kind of SSD are you using? SATA? NVMe? Is it installed internally?

It doesn't look like you're using my EFI.

Is in internal NVMe, I believe its 500GB Silicon Ppower.
And did use your EFI, but I suspected things got changes when I restored from backup
(which I've been doing from each updates).
Basically, each time I updated macOS, I would do a new install then restore from time machine from my old macOS to the new one. Ffrom Sierra to High Sierra to Mojave and now Catalina.
I'm uploading my Clover folder so you can have a look.

Why don't you just boot in to Recovery, do a restore, then boot in to macOS and then update to the latest macOS?

@pastrychef Have you sent this bios error when you use open core?

A while ago, I transitioned from Clover to OC, been using your EFI folders since the beginning (Thank you for your time and dedication). Cleared bios when I upgraded to OC.

Only noticed this error message recently. It does not seem to affect functionality. Or is there a way to verify?

Currently on your 0.69 OC EFI. Thank you~

Just upgrade to latest OpenCore EFI.
