i already have one headed to the house for a linux box, might try hackintosh for fun. do be warned that the fans are supposed to be quite loud.

edit: as a follow up, all the reviews of it acting like a loud blow dryer, they are true...

I been eyeing these for a while now.
These are Quad core i7 CPU's with 8-threads.
The CPU alone sells for $300+

M.2 SSD and the Wifi module can be swapped out.
Do you think an Broadcom bcm94360cd might fit with an adapter ?
or are the clearances to tight.

Fry electronics also advertises these form about $250-$350
They also have internet price match guarantee.

I purchased this model and it works great. The wifi/bluetooth module I bought is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JY6X9HM/?tag=tonymacx86com-20
Just replace the one that comes installed.

I paid $250 from Newegg.

Didn't have a problem with graphics.

My build guide would be really weird if I had one. I actually started with a config from an Intel NUC that I had. Then I copied a bunch of stuff from a Rehabman config I came across. I couldn't do it again if my life depended on it probably. I do have a backup ssd just in case.

My config is probably a mess, but it works. This is definitely not my line of work....
