Gigabyte UEFI motherboards does not require DSDT. Is this true?

I am reading in misc articles that Gigabyte UEFI motherboards does not require DSDT.
That means that these M/B will play out of the box?
I also read about custom BIOS. Can anyone enlighten me?

I am thinking of building a socket 2011 customac pro...
Do you think that i would have problems with compatibility?
