Hi digiman, welcome to the forum,

You will find most of these motherboards rather difficult to find these days as they have been long since discontinued.

Use the search facility to find any build information that you can find - pay attention to differences in bios revisions.

If you look in the DSDT database under the Manufacture GigaByte you find in the 1156 section three versions of motherboards.

THese are the H55 P55 Q55 - these relate to the Intel Chipset used by Gigabyte to make a 1156 board.

So you will note that in the drop down windows a wider variety of motherboard part numbers.

As he said these will be hard to find - so pick several and do some searchs on these model numbers - then search individually w the model number and the word hackintosh together. You shold most likely write a lot of the info down and or print it out.

Read what comes up - you can also try You Tube as well for videos that could provide you w an answer.

But when you need more assistance make sure you have read the rules of the site and post accourdingly.

If you cannot find a motherboard that supports Firewire and is in stock, you may wish to consider a PCIe Firewire card. A less elegant solution clearly. Hope you can find a motherboard that meets your needs in stock.

You might want to consider an auction web site. With the warranties associated with buying from some of these sites, getting a used motherboard might work for you. I have bought used motherboards from the most well know auction site in the past. Never had any problems.
