Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Windforce 2X NVIDIA Graphics Card - 2GB

Hi,

I see in the geforce 660 thread that these cards are only working in 10.8.1 not 10.8.2.

Mine refused to do anything in 10.8.2 until I added the nvidia gfx drivers and graphicsenabler=No, now everything is extremely laggy and unusable. It was my main concern with my new build to have properly working graphics and I seem to have failed in my graphics card choice.

So should I hold on to it and hope it works properly with future updates or just return it and get a 660ti or 670?

I´m using a Gigabyte 660Ti OC 2GB, and it works right out of the box with ML drivers...using GraphicsEnabler=No.
But just to make sure I get the most out of it I installed nvidia drivers, cuda drivers and enabled openCL.

Hi,
Can you say what you are doing when you feel the 660 card to be laggy and unuseable? So far mine seems good - better than ny old 560Ti - so I am just wondering whether something went wrong with your driver install or with the card....
Have you tried it in Windows?
