So you've provided no information as to what the error is, no information as to what you have done, no information as to what you expect to see, no information as to your configuration and you expect exactly what again....?

Whops my bad.

Updateded my BIOS using QFLASH, when I did it, to version F4.
bios settings
Advanced Memory Settings > X.M.P. > Profile 1
xHCI Mode > AUTO
xHCI Hand-off > ENABLED
EHCI Hand-off > ENABLED
Wake on Lan > DISABLED
VT-d > DISABLED
Boot Mode Selection > Legacy

used boot arg maxmem=4096 worked perfect.

Thunderbolt has to be initialised from Windows. You need a Windows partition or a windows boot disk to make it work. Have you looked at the threads here on Thunderbolt? Have you installed Windows to set the firmware up?

There are lots of people with Thunderbolt who have made it partly or mostly work. There are still lots of problems and I would't trust it myself but YMMV.

thanks.
Ill give that a try. so i guess i should have installed windows first!?

I had to do nothing to actually make thunderbolt work on z77x ud7th. Im not running displays though. I use it for blackmagic mini monitor.

Hot swap doesnt work, the devices have to be plugged before boot. Other than that i didnt even realise there were problems.

GA-Z97X-UD7-TH build + install guide

Follow this guide it helped me get my thunderbolt running no issues. You still have to have your device plugged in before you boot, but it works and I've never complained. I'm new to the mackintosh world, but these guys have all the answers just have to look up the right way and ask the right questions.
