Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH and thunderbolt missing in Mavericks

Hi I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH F11 Bios with 3770k i7 cpu. I've had thunderbolt functionality while on ML but all of a sudden I've lost it along the way. I'm on Mavericks and I cannot for the life of me figure out how it was lost. In system report, theres no thunderbolt and under network in sys-pref, I don't have thunderbolt listed anymore. I've not changed the bios settings or anything big. I did upgrade the bios to f11 a whiles back. Any clues are welcome.

nevermind. it seems to be working. it just doesn't show up in system report for some odd reason.
