Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H can't get the sound working under El capitan

Hello everyone.
I updated to El capitan but not very smoothly. For some reason I am getting no selectable audio device.
I tried the guides and Used the latest Multibeast to infuse the right drivers.
I've been struggling all day but so far, no luck.
Other users are striking gold with the VoodooHDA, but the v2.8.6, v2.8.7 and v2.8.8 are all not working for me.
In another post I found "AppleHDA.kext" that could do the trick but I am not sure where to place it.
Could someone help me to get my audio to work.

Similar problem here, except I'm using Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H rev. 1.1 (Realtek ALC887 codec). And there are output devices to select, although no sound happens when I select them.
Install went swell. Installed drivers using MultiBeast 8.1, but no sound. Any help for relative newbie?
