Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H and i7 3770

Below is the build of the pc i just purchased. Will they be ok for hackintosh.
Also the motherboard won't slow the processor down or anything for me not going for the more expensive motherboard?

We are not recommending Ivy Bridge systems at the moment. Your HDD can be a problem as boot device. Search for 4K sector type in the forum.

could you expand more on the 4k sector type please. I have done a search but don't understand. Ivy bridge im ok with have seen the mod to get it to run ok until its officially supported.
