Let me start off with my system specs :

Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 Motherboard (BIOS F10, with DSDT)
i3-2120 Processor
8GB RAM
Asus GT640 2GB (same model as described on Customac page).

I have been successful in installing Mountain Lion (need to boot with GraphicsEnabler=No ) however each Multibeast installation causes kernel panic.

I'm not sure what am I doing wrong.

Options ticked :

UserDSDT
System Utilities (repair permissions)
Unified Audio Injector : ALC8xx (non legacy)
AppleHDA Rollback
USB3.0
PS/2 keyboard and mouse
FakeSMC
FakeSMC plugins (motherboard, and Nvidia plugins with HWMonitor app)
Realtek Ethernet 2.0.6

All these options worked flawlessly in Lion (with a 6870).

Can anyone point me to the right direction? what am I doing wrong?

Help is much appreciated :)

what errors do you have

Similar MOBO to OP. I5 @ 2500, though and ATI video setup.

Can't get Mountain Lion to take. Each time I do I get just about to "LP is 64" and then (no matter what devices I phyiscally remove from the setup, it eventually hangs. (no KP just hanging.) Frustration with the M-Lion.... any help appreciated.

Select the absolute minimum:

UserDSDT
System Utilities
PS/2 keyboard and mouse

You can always go back and add more after you have gotten that config to work. You don't need to specify FakeSMC because it is included with UserDSDT.

If you get a kernel panic, boot with verbose mode (-v) and take a picture of the panic. Post it so others can help decipher it.

Try not installing the DSDT with Multibeast or, boot with DSDT=null and delete the DSDT from your extra/ directory.

Was up last night experimenting..

First tried only with UserDSDT and System Utilities checked, booted fine.

For some reason, after choosing AppleHDA Rollback and Unified Device Injector for ALC8xx (coupled with my DSDT) gives a hang at shutdown (grey screen + mouse)
Booting up after give gave a kernel panic.

Try 2 : Chose to patch AppleHDA for ALC889 instead, worked like a charm

Try 3 : now tried installing the USB3.0, PS/2 (i dont really need this, but helps just in case) and FakeSMC Plugins (motherboard, HWMonitor, and NVidia plugins)

Immediately after installation was complete and successful, kernel panic.

Booting again showed a problem in NVClockX.kext (or similar; the NVidia plugin for FakeSMC)

Inference : NVidia Plugins give kernel panic for Asus GT 640 2GB.
