Hi,

I'm really new for hackintosh. I start checking the list to build one.
No one talking about this motherboard, GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-Gaming G1. Is it cool to go with ?
One more question, normally i work on hd up to 4k resolution but now 8k show up.
Can you recommend me some good graphic card to handle it ?

Thanks

That is the same as the GA-Z170X Gaming 7, G1 is usually put in the beginning, not the end. It has been used in some User Builds that you can read. There is no current, compatible with macOS graphics card, that can handle 8K. The Nvidia Pascal cards can but there are no macOS drivers for them.

Thanks for your reply,

Upon a closer look the Gaming 7 is slightly different the the Gaming G1. I think that the reason the G1 or 7 model is not in the Buyer's guide is because the LAN and Audio chips on the G1 and Gaming 7 aren't 100 % compatible with Kexts from Multibeast. The Gaming 6 is the next highest end of this line. It should be able to handle two Titan X as well. I would go with the Gaming 6 version. You will get the dual GbE LAN from Intel which is very good to have onboard. You get the really good ALC 1150 onboard audio if you ever need or want to use that. It appears much easier to get everything fully working on the Gaming 6. If you do want to go with the Gaming 7 there are plenty of good guides to help you get that working too.

The Gaming G1 is also the larger E-ATX form factor. You'd need a large specialty case just to fit it in. It's also $300+ more expensive.

So now i read a lot of many build that use a GA-Z170x-Designare and successfully installed.

now i'm reconsidering about the motherboard choice again. With 2 Titan X which one is the right one to go.
Gaming 6 or Designare ?

Either one will work. Choice will depend upon which onboard features you need from a motherboard.
