iBoot and MultiBeast install guide: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ ... mentPage=2
UPDATE 10.6.6 install
downloaded DSDT AutoPatcher - created DSDT file
downloaded Multibeast 3.3
ran combo update
rebooted - USB ok but no onboard sound
Microbook works
did Multibeast applehda rollback - didn't work
thought I needed the voodoohda.kext for the Realtek AL883 chip
installed voodoohda with multibeast - rebooted and OSx would not boot
went into safe mode and deleted applehda.kext, Hdenabler.kext and voodoohda.kext
rebooted downloaded voodoohda installer from http://code.google.com/p/voodoohda/
ran installer, rebooted and on board audio SOUND! Now my MOTU Microbook does not work! ARRGGHHH! installed older applehda.kext, Hdenabler.kext Microbook works
deleted AL8xxHDA.kext from /extra/extensions - onboard audio works now
All is well except sleep Microbook works fine
***Used EFI Studio to look at PCI bus for devices and device ID's

Gigabyte G31M-ES2L
Intel Celeron E3200 Wolfdale 2.4GHz
A-DATA G series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
WD 500 Gig 7200 RPM Blue HD
Asus 8400GS PCI E
TRENDnet TEG-PCITXR NIC Card
MOTU MicroBook USB Audio with Logic Express
Adaptec PCI Firewire 400 card TI chipset (works out of box)
Apogee Duet

EASY Beast install

Steps after multibeast
Added NVenabler64 KEXT
Audio - applehda.kext, Hdenabler.kext

Used KEXT Helper for this with KEXTS from KEXT.com
Next time will use DSDT and Advanced etc.

Sleep - does not work but everything else does! It is plenty fast too and seems about as fast as the Imac 21 I played with at the Apple Store.

Cost - about $350 or so.

LION OSx 10.7 upgrade
----------------------------------------------
Everything looked great (thanks Tony Mac) except I got the dreaded device could not be verified error in the app store. I started troubleshooting and noticed that my TRENDnet TEG-PCITXR card disappeared. I hadn't noticed it at first because I did the upgrade via wireless. Anyways, after much comparing (2 hours) I noticed that the 10.6.6 IONetworkingFamily.kext had the Realtek8169.kext in the plugin folder and the 10.7 one DID NOT.

I removed the Airport card (my plan is for this to be a server anyways) fired up Multibeast and installed the official Realtek drivers into IONetworkingFamily.kext, rebuilt the cache and repaired permissions and rebooted. SUCCESS!!!! It appears I have a fully stable LION install and the app store works (probably because it was the NIC card I originally used with app).

Running LION!!!

Sleep works for my version of the board V1.0, realtek ethernet chipset. I had been messing around with sleep enablers... then I checked my energy saver settings and unchecked the "allow power button to put the computer to sleep".

My computer would go to sleep OK. But when I hit the power button to wake it, it would go into loop. Then it dawned on me that this setting was probably waking it, then putting it right back to sleep. Just a guess.

Seems to be working now. I also am using a custom DSDT.aml file, if that matters.

Cheers!

EDIT: the above was for Lion 10.7. I didn't look at the thread that this was for SL. I'll post in the proper Lion thread as well.
