Gigabyte ATI 6670 2 GB MOUNTAIN LION ISSUE

Hi,

I have made an Hack for Graphics jobs with the GT 640,
The issue was that GE=No
was giving me dark and too constrast display dispite the setting and the calibrating
( using an EIZO display). I've made a post about this issue but no aswer was given so
I've changed the GPU.
I went for an ATI 6670 that I knew was working fine.
I bought he Gigabyte 6670 2 gb.

OSX 10.8.4
MOBO: Z77 X UP5TH
CPU: i7 3770K
RAM: 32 Go
GPU: Gigabyte 6670 2 GB

I've previously used the Sapphire 6670 ( no more available) which was fully working with
GE=YES
ATICONFIG= PITHECIA
ATIPORTS=3

Now If I try this settings with the Gigabyte neither VGA or DVI are working ( black screen), HDMI not tried.

GPU only works with GE=NO ( recognized as ATI RADEON 6**** SERIES)

The problem is that I've noticed that colors and contrast are very strong under GE=No and the display work much better under GE=YES.

I've also tried ATICONFIG = Bullrushes,Duckweed, Eleumur but no luck.

Any idea why the Same card with different brand is not working under the same framebuffer.

any Solution?

Thanks

Try Pithecia framebuffer and Ge=Yes. It is easily manageable from Chalemeleon Wizard.

I think you miss some lines of my post cause the issue is that

I have done Pithecia but is not working at all. Black screen.

I've already used Pithecia with the Sapphire 6670 and was fine.

But the Gigabyte 6670 wont work with Pithecia.
